Review of workshop at the Steiner kindergarten 21/2/06
By Shell Tam-litOn Wednesday 22nd I went to the Steiner kindergarten and taught them how to make hand kites in the shape of birds. I arrived at 9:00am; I was there for an hour and half. At first there were only 3 girls making the kite, but then as others came as saw they what they were making.
I think it when really well, I really enjoyed doing and the teacher was impressed with I what and that ‘I could come back again sometime if I wanted to’. Linda my advisor came with me to take pictures she said that ‘ the workshop went well and that I was really good with the kids’.
I started by teaching 3 girls I think they really enjoyed. Later on more came so in the end taught 12 kids which was the whole class. I think they really enjoyed and that is was just the right activity for as it wasn’t to easy, but it wasn’t to hard. I was teaching for an hour and a half, so it took longer than I thought, but that was ok. The kids were very happy to work with me and they were talking to me. There was this one girl who was upset and was scared to come to me, she came and made a bird and by the end she was really happy and she really liked making a kite.
I really enjoyed I would do it again. As I really enjoy working with kids.
