Arts Awards

The Stables Project is a registered Arts Award centre. We offer Arts Awards at all three levels, Bronze Silver and Gold. We currently have three fully trained Arts Award Advisers whose specialist areas span a wide range, from textiles and fine arts, to performance, puppetry and literature.

What is an Arts Award?

Arts Awards are a new scheme that recognises the way that young people (11 – 25) develop within the arts.

The award is a QCA qualification and sits on the National Qualifications Framework at levels 1, 2 and 3.

How does it work?

Working with an Arts Award adviser, young people are guided through the process of exploring specific challenges within their chosen area of the arts. All of the candidates work is documented in a portfolio, evidencing their personal progression, development and outcomes.

The Arts Award encourages young people to work in a self motivated way within a supportive environment, towards achieving goals that are specific to the individuals chosen art field.

Assessment

The adviser is responsible for assessing and marking all candidates folders. Their final decision is then reviewed by an external moderator.
